§  Knowledge and experience of the voluntary and community sector, current involvement in the sector, and ideally some knowledge of BHI itself.

§  Ability to offer commitment to BHI.

§  Willingness to devote the necessary time and effort.

§  Strategic vision.

§  Ability to think creatively.

§  Willingness to speak out.

§  Ability to listen.

§  Understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and

liabilities of trusteeship.
